The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order is officially live in North America. Fans who registered early may have already received an email from Nintendo granting direct access. But if you missed it, don’t worry — several retailers are now taking pre-orders too.

The new console officially drops on June 5, and it’s already making waves. You can reserve the standard console for $450, or grab the Mario Kart World bundle for $500, which includes exclusive in-game content.

Where to Buy Nintendo Switch 2

You can now secure your Nintendo Switch 2 from a number of trusted stores, both online and in-store:

  • Nintendo (direct site)
  • GameStop – Online orders begin at 11AM ET
  • Best Buy – Pre-orders available online at midnight
  • Walmart – Midnight launch for online orders
  • Target – Also launching pre-orders at midnight
  • Amazon – Not live yet but expected soon

While Amazon hasn’t listed the console yet, it’s likely to appear any time, so keep an eye on the Nintendo hub page.

Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Order Accessories and Pricing

Alongside the console, new accessories are also up for grabs — though some have seen a slight price bump:

  • Joy-Con 2 bundle – $95 (was $90)
  • Switch 2 Pro Controller – $85 (was $80)
  • Switch 2 Camera – $55 (was $50)
  • Joy-Con charging grip – $40 (was $35)
  • Carrying case – $85
  • MicroSD Express Card (256GB) – $60

These accessories are available from the same retailers, so you can bundle them with your console purchase.

“We’ve designed the Switch 2 to bring better visuals, new features, and more immersive gameplay,” said a Nintendo representative.

The new console features a 7.9-inch LCD screen, supports 120Hz refresh rate, and can output 4K resolution when docked. It also introduces built-in Game Chat, upgraded gyroscopic controls, and expanded 256GB base storage with USB-C charging.

Nintendo says it’s ramping up production in Vietnam to meet high demand after reporting 2.2 million pre-order signups in Japan alone.

If you want to be among the first to experience the Switch 2, it’s best to secure your unit now. With high interest and potential supply delays, pre-ordering ensures you’re not left waiting post-launch.
